What is an Official Transcript vs an Unofficial Transcript?

An official transcript is sent to UTRGV directly by another university through regular mail or as a secure email.

An unofficial transcript is sent by the student and does not come directly from the institution.

Program Details How are the Accelerated Online programs formatted?

Our Accelerated Online format consists of six 7-week long modules throughout the year: Fall Module I & II, Spring Module I & II, and Summer Module I & II. Full time enrollment is 2 courses each module, but you can register for courses at your own pace!

When is the application deadline?

For most programs we use a rolling admissions format with application decisions happening all the time! To check to see if your specific program of interest has a deadline, visit our Graduate Program page.

Who is my program coordinator/contact? A list of all our Graduate College Program Coordinators can be found HERE Do I need to go to campus if I am an online accelerated student?

You will never need to be on campus unless you would like to visit us or when you come for graduation!

Admissions Is the GRE/GMAT required for admission?*

*GRE is still required for School Psychology (MA), Biomedical Engineering (MS), Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD, Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), Clinical Psychology (MA), Experimental Psychology (MA), Business Administration (PhD), and Communication Sciences and Disorders (MS).

Where do I submit my transcripts?

Please request that your official transcripts be mailed directly to the address listed below. It is important that you include the office name and room number to ensure proper delivery. I cannot remember my username or password for the application portal, should I start a new application?

No. If you are having trouble remembering your login information please us the “Forgot Username/Password” button.

Financial Aid What scholarships, assistantships, and financial aid is available to me?

When can I apply for scholarships?

Most scholarship applications can be submitted after receiving your admissions decision. For scholarship specific details please check the scholarship requirements HERE

What is the cost of tuition and fees? The cost or tuition and attendance for each program can be found HERE Are in-state and out-of-state tuitions different for the Accelerated Online programs?

No. Tuition for the Accelerated Online programs is the same regardless of your state or country of residence.

International Students Are there different procedures to apply as an international student? Yes. All international admissions procedures can be found HERE What if I have additional questions about necessary documentation or procedures?
